A Day In Kilkenny

With all the partying we did before we kind of got a late start for day two.  It was pushing eleven when we finally got out the door.  First things first.  Food!  We roamed around until we finally settled on The Fig Tree.

So glad we did because this lunch was so tasty.  I highly recommend the cajun chicken wrap and a cappuccino. They made the cappuccino with chocolate and it was definitely the best one I had on the trip.

There is so much charm to this town.  You can wonder around for hours.

Kilkenny Castle

It seemed a bit odd to have a castle right in the middle of downtown.  But, in Ireland there are castle just about everywhere.  Kilkenny Castle was the most decked out castle.  The castle is fully renovated.

We also got lucky.  There was a band playing right as we came into the castle.  

Time is so fleeting.  After listening to the band and touring the castle it was already 4pm.  The original plan was to go to Cork after the castle.  At this time there was no way we could make it then drive two and half hours to our next city.  I did not want to be driving back country roads in the dark.  So we proceeded to make our way to our next home for the night.
